Ampoule – From Standardized to Customized Quality Options

Ampoules are the most widely used common packaging solutions globally. They are small sealed vials used to preserve samples in both liquid and solid forms. Ampoules are generally made of glass, which is the commonly used material for the manufacturing of ampoules, owing to its high transparency and ability to withstand elevated temperatures. But with the help of advanced technologies, ampoules are also manufactured using plastics. Plastic consists of electrostatic charges that may attract or react with the contained liquid, thereby declining its preference. Ampoules are widely used in the pharmaceutical industry because of their beneficial characteristics. The packaging of the vial is 100% tamper-proof. Recently manufactured ampoules are most commonly used to store pharmaceutical products or samples and chemicals that are supposed to be protected from contaminants and air. The hermetically potted glass ampoulsse that was initially used to preserve sterilized solutions was introduced by a French pharmacist in the late 1890s.

Ampoule Product Line also exists in many corporations. This line in our company, Shanghai IVEN Pharmatech Engineering Co.,Ltd, which is composed by CLQ vertical ultrasonic cleaning machine, RSM sterilizing drying machine and AGF filling and sealing machine. It is divided into cleaning zone, sterilizing zone, filling and sealing zone. At first, this compact line can work together as well as independently. And it realizes single linkage, continuous operation from washing, sterilizing，filling and sealing, protects products from contamination, meets the GMP production standard. Moreover, this line adopts water and compressed air cross pressure jet wash and ultrasonic wash at inverted state, use the ultrafiltration technology, thus to assure thoroughly cleaning. Finally, this equipment is universal. It can’t be used to 1-20ml ampoules. Changing parts are convenient. In the meantime, the equipment can be used as vial washing, filling and capping compact line by changing some mould and outfeed wheel.
